I met Fernando a little over a year ago and he identified something in my son’s swing I never considered. He has struggled with his timing off and on for years but once he corrected his stride and separation that laid the foundation for him to stay back on all pitches and hit with a consistent path to the ball. Prior to that his timing was so erratic he could not consistently replicate his swing in a game situation. Now he has turned the corner thanks to Coach Fernando. - Dale E.

Coach Fernando is outstanding!  A perfect fit for my son!  Luke is 8 years old and was very apprehensive to try someone new for one on one instruction.  He now asks to go for a lesson every week.  I am impressed with his coaching expertise and believe his ability to break down the fundamentals has made a big difference in Luke’s level of play.  In addition to his knowledge and teaching ability, I appreciate how reliable and punctual he has always been.  I am fortunate to have found a coach that makes such a positive impact for my son.  Luke is looking forward to continuing to work with Coach Fernando in the future.

We were introduced to Fernando at the beginning of summer. My middle school age son has played for many years at the elite level and yet was never taught the proper technique for fielding. In the past few months my son's fielding and hitting have leaped to a whole new level. He plays with more confidence and I know it is all due to Fernando's great teaching.  He not only explains but shows the proper technique with enthusiasm and professionalism.  My son always looks forward to his lessons with Fernando. My son has been participating in the FCB Prime baseball program for 3 years. He very much enjoys his team as the boys have been playing together for many years. They are a committed to their team and that value has been taught through Fernando Cortez and the other coaches. With years of experience in coaching, Fernando has a unique way of teaching the boys in an effective manner. His communication is clear and he praises the boys for a job well done.
